Parks and Pools
Lately, when someone mentions Redwood City, what usually comes to mind are the incredible parks and activities that are available. Redwood City boasts 30 unique parks from small neighborhood parks that are only a quarter of an acre to larger multi-use parks that are 40 acres to even a Dog Park and a Skate Park. In addition, Redwood City has two outdoor pools that are operated seasonally (in the Summer). Hours of the parks are from sunrise to sunset, except for lighted sports areas which will continue to be open until 10:30pm. Dogs are allowed in the parks on leash but not on sports fields or in children's playgrounds. During City-sponsored, culturally-related events such as the Concert in the Parks Series (by permit only) alcohol may now be consumed. Park availability is on a first come, first served basis except at the eight parks where we take reservations. Click here for Picnic Reservation info. We invite you to experience the sense of community you get when visiting a park in Redwood City. |
