City Council Schedules Discussion of Saltworks Application for May 7

Redwood City, CA – The City Council of Redwood City will discuss the Saltworks application at its upcoming Council meeting on Monday, May 7th.

Mayor Alicia Aguirre recently appointed an ad-hoc committee of Councilmembers Barbara Pierce and Jeff Ira to research, review, and report to the Council on the City’s options regarding the Saltworks development application. The committee was asked to make recommendations on the pending application and on options regarding an anticipated new or revised project description including an advisory vote. Given the interest in the community about the Saltworks application, the ad-hoc committee worked promptly with staff to complete its work. It was originally scheduled for May 21st.

The ad-hoc committee will be making its recommendations at the May 7, 2012, City Council meeting, which begins at 7 pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road.
