Application for a Use Permit for the Tarboosh Restaurant,
pursuant to Article 26, Section 26.4.M and 26.4.N of the
Zoning Ordinance for a type 47 Liquor License, which allows
on-site consumption of beer, wine, and spirits (currently
the restaurant has a license for beer and wine only); exterior
patio seating behind the building within an area designated
by planters (not in the parking lot area); and an extension
of business hours for a 2:00 AM closing time (currently
the closing time is midnight).
Use Permits for exterior seating under the canopy in front
of the restaurant; a Liquor License for on-site beer and
wine consumption; and limited live entertainment (two-person
band) have been approved for the Tarboosh Restaurant. The
City also issued a Sidewalk Café Permit for exterior
seating in the public right-of-way directly in front of the
restaurant. The existing building is approximately 2,365
square feet. The site contains approximately 3,690 square
feet and is located in the Central Business Retail (CBR)
Zoning District.
