Application for a Variance to allow for the reduction of
a side yard setback to one-foot six inches (1’6”),
where a five foot three inch (5’3”) side yard
setback would otherwise be required by the Redwood City Zoning
Ordinance, to accommodate the relocation of an existing detached
accessory building (a one-car garage) that is currently developed
along the property line. Section 43.1 states the Zoning Administrator
shall have the power to grant Variances from the terms of
this ordinance in respect to yard requirements. The subject
property is a rectangular parcel with a 52.5 foot lot width.
The subject property is approximately 6,760 square feet and
is located within the Single-Family Residential “R-1” Zoning
District.
