1. 726 Hillcrest Drive (Vincent Worms):
Application for a Variance to allow the reduction of the
front yard setback to 19 feet, where a 25 foot front yard
setback would otherwise be required by the Zoning Ordinance,
to allow the expansion of a one-car garage to a two-car
garage. Section 43.1 of the Zoning Ordinance states the
Zoning Administrator shall have the power to grant Variances
from the terms of this ordinance in respect to yard requirements.
The lot size is approximately 8,000 square feet, and is
located within the Single-Family Residential Hillside “RH” Zoning
District.

2. 837 Jefferson Avenue (Tarboosh Restaurant):
An application for a Use Permit Amendment in which the
restaurant owner is requesting expanded hours from their
existing Use Permit to accommodate live and/or prerecorded
entertainment (i.e. music, singing, belly dancing, etc.)
in conjunction with a full-service restaurant. Additionally,
the establishment has an agreement with the City’s
Redevelopment Agency to sublease an outdoor patio area from
the United States Postal Services (USPS) to use the adjacent
parcel to the south of Tarboosh for outside dining only.
