An application for a Variance to remove an existing twenty-three
foot six inch wide by nineteen foot deep (23’-6”x19’)
2 car carport projecting into the Hetch Hechy right-of-way.
The reconstruction would allow for the construction of a
twenty-two foot wide by nineteen foot five inch deep (22’x19’-5”)
attached two car garage. The attached two car garage would
be located six feet into the rear setback to avoid construction
on the Hetch Hechy right-of-way. Per section 43.1 of the
Redwood City Zoning Ordinance; the Zoning Administrator
has the power to grant Variances for yard requirements.
The site is approximately 100 feet wide and 110 feet deep
with the Hetch Hechy right-of-way passing through the parcel
diagonally. The subject property is located in the Residential
Duplex (R-2) Zoning District.
