Application for a Use Permit to expand a non conforming
single family residence (with regard to the two car covered
parking requirement, per Redwood City’s Zoning Ordinance
30.2.1). More specifically to add an additional 200
square feet, above the 2,000 square feet allowed, per Article
33.16.A.7 of the Zoning Ordinance. The existing single
family residence consists of 1,560 square feet with a single
car garage and three bedrooms. The applicant is proposing
to add 639 square feet to the existing single family
residence (325 square feet to the ground floor and 314 square
feet to the second floor) bringing the total square footage
to 2,199 square feet. The property consists of 6,500
square feet, located within the R-1 (Residential Low Density)
District.
