On September 30, 2002, at approximately 12:45 in the morning, the victim was walking home from work in the area of Chestnut and Heller Streets in Redwood City. Two subjects approached the victim and demanded his money in Spanish. When the victim told the suspects he didn't have any money, the suspects punched the victim, knocking him down. The victim fought back, was eventually able to flee the scene without giving up any of his property. The victim sustained significant injuries during the assault, including a stab wound to his chest, a broken clavicle and a large cut on his forehead. The victim described the first suspect as a clean-shaven Hispanic male adult, approximately 30 years old, 5' 3" tall, 140 pounds, wearing dark clothing. The first suspect is depicted in the composite sketch. The second suspect is also described as an Hispanic male adult, with a slightly larger build than the first suspect. CONTACT PERSON: Det.
