The Redwood City Police Department embraces a community policing philosophy. The Community Coordinating Activities Team (CCAT) is comprised of four officers, led by a sergeant, who work closely with the community to address the problems of crime, and quality of life issues.

CCAT officers coordinate Neighborhood Watch meetings, neighborhood association meetings, and speak at schools and service organizations. By working in partnership with the community it is our hope that we may reduce crime, and improve the quality of life for our citizens.
