CrimeReports.com is an online mapping and analysis service provided by Public Engines, Inc., headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.  CrimeReports.com combines the value of police data with the ease-of-use of Google-based mapping so that members of the public can view police data in a map or summary format. Members of the public may also sign up to receive free email alerts based on user-defined parameters (e.g., geography, crime types, frequency, etc.).

The Redwood City Police Department uploads data into CrimeReports daily.  The data includes most reports and some additional calls for service.  To comply with the law and protect victims’ rights, this data does not include juvenile cases, domestic violence, sexual assaults, child abuse, or medical information.

Users can view categories of reported crimes and police activity.  Users can also select specific incidents to view the following information:

Category Type
Date of incident: Year, Month, Day
Location of Incident
Report or Incident Number
Time of the incident
Type of Crime Reported
Name of the Agency
