Officer Todd Hurst is a 17 year veteran with the Redwood City Police Department and is currently our D.A.R.E. / G.R.E.A.T Coordinator.  Officer Hurst is a court certified Narcotics Expert, OPN (Orcutt Police Nunchaku) Instructor, Firearms Instructor, and is the team leader of our Hostage Negotiations Team.  Officer Hurst has worked as a Field Training Officer, Community Policing Officer and Detective, which included undercover narcotics and homicide.

Officer Vic Artiga is an instructor for D.A.R.E. Officer Artiga is a San Francisco native. His hobbies include playing the guitar, traveling, and working out. He is a San Jose St. alumnus and a Captain in the California Army National Guard. In 1996 he attended the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles where he studied jazz-rock fusion guitar. Officer Artiga has been with the department for five years and currently works patrol in addition to teaching the D.A.R.E. program.

Officer Mike Reynolds is an instructor for both D.A.R.E. and G.R.E.A.T  Officer Reynolds has been working for the Redwood City Police Department for four years. He is assigned to the Patrol Division and he began teaching D.A.R.E. in 2001. Prior to becoming a police officer, Officer Reynolds was a Fifth-grade teacher. He enjoys, shooting hoops and spending time with his family.
