Banners
 Over
the street banners are typically allowed to highlight non-profit events benefiting
the community and to publicize city events. Banners are typically displayed
for two weeks, as long as there is availability on the calendar. Banners must
be constructed to city specifications and provided by the sponsoring organization.
Banners are installed and removed by city staff. There currently are two locations
for banners: across Broadway between the County Courthouse and the Fox Theatre,
and across Hamilton between the Watry Building and the Sequoia Building.
The City also has a decorative banner program, which displays seasonal banners
from selected street lights and the clock tower at the corner of Broadway and
El Camino. Banners are selected and rotated under the direction of the redevelopment
staff.
