Select List of "Work Verified" Tree Care Companies

As a service to the community, Redwood City is providing this list of "work verified" tree care companies.

The City does not recommend any particular tree care company. However, for the public’s information, each of these tree companies has voluntarily provided evidence that they meet the criteria listed below, which we believe is necessary and reasonable for a valid tree care company to operate and serve Redwood City residents.

We hope that this provides you with information to make a good decision about which tree care company you might use. Hiring professional tree care workers contributes to the health and value of Redwood City’s urban forest.

The following criteria have been provided to the City by the tree care companies listed:

• Current full-time Certified Arborist or Board Certified Master Arborist on staff
• Current Redwood City Business License
• Current State Contractors License (required by the State of California for any job greater than $500)
• Evidence of liability insurance and workers compensation insurance

Each of these companies has also signed an agreement with Redwood City to:

• Educate their customers about the City’s permit processes.
• Follow the City’s codes for tree permit processes and tree replacement.
• Perform pruning work to ANSI A-300 Pruning Standards

The following companies have voluntarily submitted their request to be placed on this list, and have met the City's criteria:
