Vision for the Urban
Forest Program
The Redwood City Council adopts the following vision
for the Urban Forest Program.
(1)
Sustain a beautiful, healthy and safe urban forest with a diversity of species
balanced by shade and light. Establish a tree maintenance program to allow
for a flourishing canopy in public and residential areas of the City, while
minimizing interference with infrastructure. Gain support from an engaged,
informed public that is educated on the values, benefits and responsibilities
of trees through well managed, efficient and cost-effective public and private
partnerships.
