Training Seminars for Using Recycled Water

As part of our commitment to the use of recycled water, the
Redwood City Recycled Water Project provides certification for site
supervisors as well as additional short courses for both site
supervisors and landscapers. The training includes:
- Site Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities (certification)
- Recycled Water Treatment and Quality
- Greener Landscapes with Recycled Water
- Cross-connection Control and Backflow Protection
Each site must have a certified designated site supervisor.
The City requires notification within 30 days of any change in
site supervisor status and new supervisors must be certified
within 120 days. Property owners and facility managers whose
sites are served with recycled water are responsible for their
on-site water systems and personnel. Attendees who successfully
complete the Site Supervisor Training Workshop will be granted
Certified Site Supervisor status. Mandatory Site Supervisor

- Recycled water use guidelines
- Managing landscapes using recycled water
Landscaper Workshop Topics Include
- Landscape management
- Recycled water use guidelines
- Irrigation scheduling
- Field equipment
- Plant material
All sites must use irrigation water effectively and
efficiently regardless of the water source.
