Free Toilet Replacement Program

The City is on an aggressive campaign to conserve our precious drinking water - and one great way we can all participate is by toiletreplacing old water-wasting toilets with brand new high-efficiency models. We're targeting over 12,000 old toilets - residential AND commercial - for FREE replacement, and once this is done we could save up to 100 million gallons of water annually!

Redwood City’s Toilet Replacement Program offers free replacement of old water-wasting toilets with high-efficiency models that utilize state-of-the-art technology, with tested moneyand proven high flushing performance, for single-family, multi-family, and commercial customers - and installation is free, too. This is a total market value of $200 to $400, depending on the model of toilet you choose.

To participate in this program, all you need to do is to make sure you qualify for this program, then request, fill out, and send in an application. Once it's approved, the City’s professional contractor will contact you for a convenient appointment to install your new toilet, and haul away your old water-waster for recycling - all for free!

Soon, you'll be saving water and money, while you help preserve our community's water supply.
