In partnership with the Redwood City Public Library and the Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, STEAM Fest 2.0 (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) festival will be held on April 29 2017, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., in Courthouse Square. We expect over 5,000 attendees at this family-oriented festival featuring:
• Over 70+ exhibitors
• Hands-on activities (with prizes for children completing 10 activities on the map)
• Workshops and Classes
• Contests
• Speakers
Every exhibit and activity is hands-on creating hundreds of opportunities for all attendees to get exposure to new things in experiential ways, teaching kids the importance of STEAM subjects in school and increasing their interest in STEAM careers by showing how this knowledge applies in everyday life. In addition, the San Mateo County History Museum will open the museum’s doors for a free day of STEAM and Maritime Day activities.
