FREE Shoreway Environmental Center Tour Program for Schools and Public

Tours of the Shoreway Environmental Center in San Carlos offer students and the community an opportunity to learn firsthand what happens to their recyclables, yard trimmings, food scraps and garbage at a working Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and Transfer Station.

School Tours

RethinkWaste offers FREE tours and bus transportation for 3rd through 5th grade public and private school classes in the RethinkWaste Service Area*.

FREE tours for interested community groups are also offered. However, these groups will have to arrange their transportation to and from the center.
