Park vs. Parking: Exploring What's Possible Behind City Hall
Wednesday, May 8, 2019
Join us at DOWNTOWN PARK OPPORTUNITIES, a 3-part speaker series to hear from experts in the field of urban park planning and design. We invite the public to participate in these FREE events.
DOWNTOWN PARK OPPORTUNITIES is designed to inspire, educate and provoke thought while we explore options and discuss concerns as the City of Redwood City starts the design for parks in three downtown locations to be phased in over five to ten years.
The City Hall Parking Lot is surrounded by a variety of businesses and housing. This parking has been slated for partial conversion to a public park or plaza. We’ve assembled a top-notch panel in an effort to ensure our leaders, decision makers, and community members are exposed to as many fresh ideas and cautionary tales surrounding park and plaza design. Join us as the panelists share their ideas and insights and field questions from the audience.
