Redwood Creek: Embracing a Forgotten Shoreline
Thursday, May 23, 2019

Join us at DOWNTOWN PARK OPPORTUNITIES, a 3-part speaker series to hear from experts in the field of urban park planning and design. We invite the public to participate in these FREE events.

DOWNTOWN PARK OPPORTUNITIES is designed to inspire, educate and provoke thought while we explore options and discuss concerns as the City of Redwood City starts the design for parks in three downtown locations to be phased in over five to ten years.

Our city is the only city on the peninsula with tidal waters in the Downtown. City Council has given the directive to activate Redwood Creek for recreational park space. Redwood Creek weaves through a variety of properties and underneath our web of roads thorough our Downtown. Join our panel as they share the challenges of activating tidal creeks and examine other projects where creeks have been restored and activated for public enjoyment.

PANELIST
+ Erika Uribe, Incommon

MODERATOR
+ Jim Keene, former City Manager, Palo Alto, CA

REGISTRATION IS FREE - SPACE IS LIMITED, PLEASE RSVP TODAY!
