Let's Talk Books - Library Book Group

NEW DAY! Join us every third Tuesday of the month at noon at the Downtown Library to discuss a good book or two. Come to all or any meeting you wish.

This month’s selection is Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval N. Harari.

“Writing with wit and verve, Harari, professor of history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, attempts to explain how Homo sapiens came to be the dominant species on Earth as well as the sole representative of the human genus...Harari argues persuasively that three revolutions explain our current situation... the cognitive revolution...the agricultural revolution...the scientific revolution.
Harari is provocative and entertaining but his expansive scope only allows him to skim the surface.”
