Online - Building Resilience for Vets and Families

  • Date: 07/17/2020 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Strengthen mental and emotional resilience wherever you are with tools developed specifically for the unique needs of Veterans AND their family members.

In this session we’ll practice key self-help strategies and learn about free resources available from the VA and Redwood City Public Library, including...

  • COVID Coach - The VA’s free app to support self-care and overall mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic

  • Cards for Connection – Apps not your thing? Unwind with a free playing card deck that includes 52 unique tips and resources

  • VetNOW - Your library card provides access to LIVE online assistance with VA benefits, career transitions, and more.

This is an educational event. It is not a replacement for professional care. If you are in crisis or need immediate help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: (800) 273-8255, press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.

Please RSVP for a required Zoom login to fpotter@redwoodcity.org. Playing card decks will be available pick-up at the Downtown library or by USPS delivery from July 7 to July 17.

Sponsored by Veterans Connect @ the Library and the VA's National Center for PTSD
