Join us as Dani Criss, of Cumbe takes us on a journey through West African culture as we explore the vivacious rhythms, high energy movement, and jewels of knowledge from various countries such as Nigeria, Guinea, and Burkina Faso. Sing to traditional African rhythms and tracks, learn oral and movement principles of Traditional and Contemporary African dance. The class will flow with an engaging body awareness warm-up, enriching movement vocabulary, some music exploration, and a jam session. We invite all families to participate in the fun!

Cumbe is a home for African and Diaspora dance and music. Through classes and cultural programs, they invite everyone to feel the joy and vitality of rhythms rooted in Africa. Cumbe champions African and Diaspora culture as a vibrant legacy for people of African descent and as an exuberant source of power, spirit and knowledge for all.
