Join the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, MI, as we take visitors on a live, virtual guided tour of our core galleries. Along the way, we will explore elements of history, culture and the immigration of Arab Americans to the United States. We will also define the Arab World, highlight ethnic and religious diversity within the Arab World/Arab American community, analyze stereotypes and discuss layers of identity. Participants will have the opportunity to make their very own mosaic craft tile to take home. Mosaics are a rich form of art that has existed in many of the Arab countries for centuries. This craft is fun for all ages! Instructions for picking up tiles from the Downtown Library will be sent to registered program participants.
