Exposición de Ofrendas y Calaveras de Azúcar / Exhibition of Ofrendas and Sugar Skulls

 En el Espacio Maker / In the Makerspace

En celebración del Día de los Muertos, los invitamos a disfrutar de nuestra exposición anual que presenta ofrendas tradicionales, obras de arte y calaveras de azúcar. Organizada por Rosario Gonzales, esta vibrante exhibición ofrece una ventana a las ricas tradiciones culturales de esta querida festividad Latinoamericana. Los visitantes tendrán la oportunidad de:

  • Contemplar ofrendas bellamente elaboradas en honor a los seres queridos fallecidos
  • Apreciar el arte de las calaveras de azúcar decoradas a mano
  • Explorar una variedad de obras de arte inspiradas en el Día de los Muertos
  • Aprender sobre el simbolismo y significado de los elementos del Día de los Muertos

La exposición abre el 26 de octubre y continúa hasta el 2 de noviembre. Está abierta al público en el Espacio Maker durante el horario regular de la biblioteca. Entrada gratuita. Todos son bienvenidos.

In celebration of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), we invite you to experience our annual exhibit showcasing traditional ofrendas, artwork, and sugar skulls. Organized by Rosario Gonzales, this vibrant exhibition offers a window into the rich cultural traditions of Latin American beloved holiday. Visitors will have the opportunity to:

  • View beautifully crafted ofrendas honoring departed loved ones
  • Appreciate at the artistry of hand-decorated sugar skulls
  • Explore a variety of Day of the Dead-inspired artwork
  • Learn about the symbolism and significance of Día de los Muertos elements

The exhibit opens on October 26 and runs through November 2. It is open to the public in the Makerspace during regular library hours. Free admission. All are welcome.
