Join us for a new monthly MakerSpace program, Kid Makers STEAM at the Library. Each month Science from Scientists bring a new program exploring environmental and sustainability concepts. For ages 9-12.
In November participants will model photosynthesis through an interactive game in which they “grow” their own 2-dimensional “plant.” Participants will face challenges such as drought and insects which will prompt them to consider how environmental factors affect plant growth.
- November 23 – Photosynthesis
- January 25 – Owl Pellets
- February 22 – Invasive Species
- March 22 – Sustainability
- April 26 – Water Cycle
- May 24 – The Greenhouse Effect
This project is supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
