Join us in the Community Room to talk about: UC, CSU, Community, Private (Independent), Out-of-State Public, International: Applying, Affording, Attending
Let’s take a look at the various college systems: their differences and similarities. What does the application process look like at each one? How will you know how much they will cost? What will it feel like to attend schools in these systems?
As you begin to think about (juniors) or finalize (seniors) your college list, what should you consider as you choose which system(s) might be best fit for you?
Bring your questions—and be ready for a few surprising answers!
This session is open to high school juniors and seniors only (not parents or students at other grade levels). All of my library sessions are free of charge, but please register, so I’ll know how many students to expect. Feel free to bring friends—just be sure they register as well!
Alice says: "My focus is always on helping students feel less overwhelmed about applying to college. My credentials: I served as the College Advisor at Menlo-Atherton H.S. for 20 years. Since retiring, I have kept well informed so I can be useful to students who need extra help (without ever charging money for my help). I particularly enjoy serving students whose parents did not go to college. All students (at the right grade level) are welcome to attend the library events. Thank you!"
