Share, take, and start plant seedlings at this outdoor gardening exchange event. We will have supplies and tips for starting seeds with a special focus on native plants and winter vegetables. This month our Seed Library is making room for new seeds and we have many, many, many older seed packets to share. Although these older seeds may have a lower germination rate, they can still produce plenty of tasty vegetables and beautiful flowers for the winter and spring seasons.
Find us outside on the front plaza.
Check out the Master Gardeners of San Mateo and San Francisco's website for more advice about what to plant at different times of year in Hot, Sunny, or Foggy Peninsula locations.
Check out CNPS's CalScape to learn about native plants you can raise to support pollinators and other creatures in our local ecosystem.
Sponsored by Friends of the Redwood City Public Library, with additional generous seed donations from OSH Redwood City.
