In every family, school, workplace, and community people see things differently. Sometimes that makes us curious. Other times it can be upsetting, inspiring fear and/or anger. This community conversation will help us learn simple tools for communicating across differences; how to share stories and hear new perspectives; how to practice ways to stay connected even when we disagree, and Build a stronger, more caring community
Redwood City Community members, George Dale, Batya Dale, and Sheila Zelinger invite you to this community conversation. Bring an open heart and curious mind. It is Free and open to all in Redwood City and Beyond. High School Students are encouraged to attend too.
This is not a debate or political event. It’s about listening, learning, and practicing respect.
Expect a warm welcome and clear ground rules when you arrive. We will share stories in pairs and small groups with three simple conversation tools you can use right away. At closing you will practice a reflection technique to take home.
This program is part of United Against Hate Week programming across Redwood City. Visit our webpage for a full list of programs.
