Pruning and Tree Maintenance Workshop

Run by CityTrees volunteer Board members, this workshop includes in-class training on basic tree biology, reasons for pruning, priorities of street-tree maintenance, and safe work practices. After the lecture portion, participants will practice their new skills on trees growing near to the site immediately after the workshop.

This workshop is ideal for those who would like to learn about taking care of trees. Completion of the workshop qualifies participants to volunteer at street tree pruning events with CityTrees.

You must be over age 18 to attend. Please wear loose fitting clothes and closed-toe shoes.

Tools will be supplied.

A voluntary donation of $20 to CityTrees is warmly appreciated (https://citytrees.org/donate/).

**The meeting space is provided as a community service by the City of Redwood City. The City neither sponsors nor endorses this event nor the presenting individual or organizations.**

What will volunteers do?
