 The Veterans Memorial Senior Center is thrilled to invite you to our "Club 1333" Senior Speakers Series! Join us for engaging presentations and valuable information tailored just for you. 

Two speakers:

Guest Speaker: Cassie Villar is an Adult Protective Services (APS) Training & Outreach Specialist who provides training on elder and dependent adult abuse including scam prevention. Topic: She will discuss scams targeting older & dependent adults and give tips on how to avoid becoming a victim. Mrs. Villar will also discuss elder and dependent adult abuse and give a multi-disciplinary approach to help victims of neglect and / or crime.

Guest Speaker: Gwyn Gordon is an award-winning screen writer and film maker from the SF Peninsula. Topic: Short film RANSOM Description: RANSOM is a psychological thriller based on a relative’s experience with a fake kidnapping telephone scam. The film is designed to educate seniors and their families about the technique’s scammers use in “impostor scams, “ to empower them to recognize a scam in real time, and to provide a strategy to scam- poof their families. She is currently fundraising to create a Spanish- language dubbed version, to bring the film to a wider audience.
