20 years strong, Movies on the Square lights up Redwood City again in 2026! Beginning June 4, Courthouse Square hosts another impressive run of weekly Thursday night movies, featuring free double features for all ages.

Every Thursday evening for thirteen weeks, Courthouse Square transforms into a vibrant open-air cinema with free double features for all ages. Start your evening with family-friendly films at 6pm or independent shorts at 8pm, then stay for a lineup of iconic classics and newly released full-length films at 8:30pm. Our June 25 movie will be swapped out with our special FIFA World Cup Live Viewing Party (more dates and times coming soon)! Films are showcased in high definition, with immersive surround sound, and our impressive LED screen guarantees excellent views throughout the Square. Expect an energetic, captivating ambiance, and arrive early to claim your space or spread a blanket, then enjoy tasty take-out from nearby restaurants. Whether you're coming for comedy, thrills, or indie discoveries, Movies on the Square boasts unforgettable summer movie nights, for the 20th year in a row!
