DESCRIPTION:<p>The Library will host a visit from the VA Palo Alto's Mobile Medical Team.&nbsp; VA staff can help with:</p><ul>    <li>On-site medical examinations, consultations, and referrals for Veterans enrolled in VA Health Care </li>    <li>Answering questions about VA enrollment</li>    <li>Answering questions about eligibility for medical and/or mental health services</li></ul><p>No appointment needed! If you are NOT currently in the VA Health Care system, please bring an extra copy of your DD214. Veterans uncertain of their benefits eligibility are encouraged to visit as requirements have changed and VA Health Care may complement current medical coverage. VA representatives will provide information to Veterans as well as&nbsp;spouses, caregivers, family members, and survivors, and can assist with Veteran enrollment for VA Health Care</p><p> </p><p><strong>About <a href="https://www.redwoodcity.org/departments/library/services/veterans-connect">Veterans Connect @ the Library</a></strong></p><p>In partnership with the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.calvet.ca.gov/" target="_blank">California Department of Veterans Affairs</a>&nbsp;(CalVet), the California State Library, and the Institute of Museum and Library Studies, Redwood City Public Library is pleased to help veterans and their families to learn about state and federal education, employment, housing, health, disability and other benefits that may be available to them. The special focus of this project is to provide information to reintegrate California veterans into the California workforce and our communities in order to provide veterans with the quality of life of other Americans.
