Join us in the Community Room.&nbsp;</p><p>If you couldn’t make it to the college-app writing sessions last spring, you’re in luck—this is a repeat just for you! If you already attended, no need to come again, but do please spread the word to friends who missed it!</p><p>Planning to apply to the University of California (UC) or to Common App colleges? This free session will walk you through:</p><ul>    <li>Writing standout responses to UC PIQs</li>    <li>Approaching the Common App main essay and supplements</li>    <li>Paying attention to key differences between UC and Common App writing (plus helpful similarities)</li>    <li>Strategizing to reduce stress and write with confidence</li></ul><p>&nbsp;The session is for high school seniors only, <b>not students at other grade levels or parents.</b> Students who plan to attend must <a href="https://forms.gle/fDXq9FxsSRSPz4gG8" target="_blank">pre-register.</a></p><p>This session has helped many students feel better prepared and less stressed. Past attendees comment: “<i>Alice offers genuine and helpful college-admissions a</i><i>dvice; her insight helped me immensely during the essay-writing process."</i> “<i>Her help with my essays was unmatched. Would 10/10 recommend for an easier college-app experience!”</i></p><p>Alice adds: "My focus is always on helping students feel less overwhelmed about applying to college. My credentials: I served as the College Advisor at Menlo-Atherton H.S. for 20 years. Since retiring, I have kept well informed so I can be useful to students who need extra help (without ever charging money for my help). I particularly enjoy serving students whose parents did not go to college. All students (at the right grade level) are welcome to attend the library events.
