DESCRIPTION:<p><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);">This event registration is now full.&nbsp; Please use the link below to join the waitlist</span>&nbsp;</p><p>Participants will create a colorful landscape, step-by-step guided&nbsp;painting&nbsp;in&nbsp;watercolor with instructor Elizabeth Jiménez Montelongo. Create art with basic&nbsp;watercolor&nbsp;sets-- an easy to find and affordable medium. We will be painting on cardstock paper, all materials provided.<strong> Space is limited for this workshop.&nbsp; Please register <a href="https://redwoodcity.libcal.com/event/15885350" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HERE</a>. This event will repeat on Saturday, January 17.&nbsp; &nbsp;Please only register for ONE session of this workshop.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>In the Makerspace</p><p>For Ages 13+</p><p>Sponsored by&nbsp;<a href="http://friendsofrwclibrary.org/" target="_blank">Friends of the Redwood City Public Library</a></p><p><strong>Elizabeth Jiménez Montelongo</strong>&nbsp;is a visual artist, poet, and facilitator. Her artwork has been included in&nbsp;over seventy exhibitions in galleries and museums from California to New York.&nbsp;Her largest solo show was at Centro de Artes in San Antonio, Texas.&nbsp;She has facilitated arts workshops (painting, drawing, alebrije sculpture, and poetry workshops) for schools, programs, and non-profits throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Elizabeth earned a BFA in Fine Art (Pictorial Arts), from San José State University as well as a BA in French.&nbsp;She served as 2021 Creative Ambassador of the San José Office of Cultural Affairs and her&nbsp;work has been supported&nbsp;by California Arts Council, YBCA, and CCI. Editorial Xingao published her first poetry book, Breathe Liberación.
