Activation Notice for Broadway Pedestrian Mall Entertainment Zone
Redwood City will be activating the Broadway Pedestrian Mall Entertainment Zone on:

An Entertainment Zone is an area where visitors may consume alcoholic beverages in public spaces, such as streets, sidewalks, or plazas, during specified days and hours, and under operational conditions that the City may define.
On May 11, 2026, Redwood City adopted an ordinance to approve one Entertainment Zone in Redwood City, on the 2000 block of Broadway, between Jefferson and Main, and the cross-section of Redwood Creek from Broadway to the Main Street Parking Lot.
The ordinance requires that the City Manager activate the City Entertainment Zone by transmitting an Activation Notice to all affected permit holders, business owners, and property owners within the Entertainment Zone at least 72 hours prior to a City Special Event, and by conspicuously posting a physical copy of the Activation Notice at City Hall.
