The 2020 Decennial Census Data Explorer provides the public with basic demographic information for the City of Redwood City. Unlike other demographic data sites, this application also shows the data aggregated by Council District and Neighborhood. The topics presented in the application are based upon availability of block data (the smallest geographic units used by the U.S. Census Bureau) from the U.S. Census Bureau Decennial Census tables, allowing for distinct aggregation and tabulation of counts to the council district geographies and neighborhood geographies. Through this application, topics include population, race/ethnicity, occupied and vacant housing units comparisons, and owner-occupied housing units and renter-occupied housing units comparisons. In addition, the Redwood City section includes change over time comparisons for the Decennial Census from 2000, 2010, and 2020 and with San Mateo County.
