Thank you for your interest in serving on one of Redwood City’s Boards, Commissions, or Committees!

Are you a Redwood City resident? Passionate about City projects, zoning and planning, the City's history and/or public art, or know someone who is?

The City welcomes and encourages your active participation by serving on a Council-appointed Board, Commission or Committee. The City is seeking volunteers to fill vacant seats for a variety of Boards, Commissions, and Committees. Join the volunteer members in shaping policy initiatives and services affecting the community. 

General application requirements include applicants must have an interest in civic involvement, must be 18 years of age or older, be a registered voter, and a resident of incorporated Redwood City. Some volunteer positions may have additional requirements or preferred areas of expertise.

The City has opened a recruitment for three open seats (see links below to each specific committee with an open seat).

Applications will be accepted from Monday, February 11 through Friday, March 22, 2019.

Important Dates

Application Period: February 11 - March 22, 2019

Interviews: Monday, April 1

Appointments: Monday, April 8 at the City Council Meeting

Swearing In: Monday, April 22 at the City Council Meeting
