Due to City Hall's closure in response to Covid-19, please see the current procedures below for filing a Claim against the City, or serving a Subpoena.

Subpoenas

Subpoenas must be served in person only, either at City Hall, 1017 MIddlefield Road, Redwood City, Monday - Wednesday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., or at the Redwood City Police Department, 1301 Maple Street, Redwood City,  Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Claims

Claims filed against the City may be accepted via U.S. Mail, or in person either at City Hall, 1017 MIddlefield Road, Redwood City, Monday - Wednesday between 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., or at the Redwood City Police Department, 1301 Maple Street, Redwood City, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

A recent amendment to Government Code section 910.4 requires that all claims against public entities be submitted on claim forms supplied by the public entity.

In order to file a claim with the City of Redwood City, this form must be completed and sent with supporting documentation to the City of Redwood City - City Clerk Department - 1017 Middlefield Road - Redwood City, CA 94063 by the date required under law.
