Thank you for your interest in the Community Improvement Reimbursement Program (CIRP). Redwood City wants to help jump-start your neighborhood and community improvement projects and events, and encourages you to get together with your neighbors to plan and implement a great community-building activity! The purpose of this reimbursement is to help get your project started so that it may become self-sustaining; the program is not intended for continual or annual support.

Reimbursements may be between $100 and $300. Actual reimbursement amount will be determined by staff review of your application. Ideas for community-building activities that may qualify include: a block or neighborhood party or large multi-street block party; a community clean-up project; a neighborhood newsletter or website; setting up a neighborhood watch meeting.

If yours is an existing (repeated) project, a repeat reimbursement may be considered; you must show how you will use this reimbursement to substantially expand or broaden your repeat event's scope, outreach, and community involvement.

Please note, reimbursements are first come, first served and based on criteria. Applications will be reviewed once a month. A completed W-9 form is required in order to receive your reimbursement.

We want to help you create projects that will have a positive impact on the community, and offer an opportunity for neighbors to get to know one another and work together toward a common goal of neighborhood improvement and engagement. If you have questions or would like more information, feel free to call us at 650-780-7300.

We look forward to hearing about your creative and fun community improvement ideas - Redwood City's CIRP can help make them happen. Thank you for helping to build a great community together!
