Shared micromobility services refers to a system in which bicycles and scooters are made available for public shared use to individuals on a short-term basis for a fee. 

RWCmoves, the citywide transportation plan, was developed with the goal to provide seamless connections, to embrace innovation, to manage congestion, and to support a resilient, equitable, and sustainable transportation system. 

Shared micromobility systems typically provide first and last mile connections to destinations and offer an alternative mode of transportation for short trips within the city. Providing micromobility services in Redwood City helps achieving the above mentioned goal.

On October 25th, 2021 the City Council adopted a new ordinance to allow shared micromobility operation in Redwood City. The adopted ordinance is accessible HERE (agenda item 8.A.). City now accepts shared micromobility applications. Below are some resources for interested operators:
