Redwood Shores Lagoon Bank Policy
Purpose of Policy
The City of Redwood City has developed a Redwood Shores Lagoon Bank Policy [PDF] to address new construction (including maintenance/repair of existing improvements) which may affect the stability of the slopes on the interior waterways in Redwood Shores.
The policy seeks to provide clear guidelines for shoreline improvements so that the combined effect of continued modifications to the shoreline are controlled. Without guidelines, continued construction has the potential to create severe adverse impacts on the lagoon bank, water quality, health and safety, and the aesthetic quality of the surrounding community.
On Monday, July 24, 2006 the City Council adopted the Redwood Shores Lagoon Bank Policy and Construction Guidelines as it applies to new construction and/or the maintenance and repair of existing permitted construction.
