The City is developing a shared service approach for Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) services in partnership with the County’s Office of Emergency Services. The County will create a new position to staff this program. Both the City and County will equally fund the program position. The shared services approach ensures the sustainability of the program as the City employs creative approaches to ensure a balanced budget.
In an effort to engage CERT volunteers and community members around this transition, the City of Redwood City is hosting a series of meetings and launching an online survey to receive input on the future of the CERT program.
Join the City at upcoming community meetings on September 25 at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center located at 1455 Madison Ave. and September 27 at the Redwood Shores Library located at 399 Marine Parkway. Both meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. Both meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. Input gained at the initial August meetings and input gained at these additional September meetings will help with the overall development of the new County program.
The City of Redwood City and City of San Carlos appreciates your input and information gained will help ensure that the CERT program serves Redwood City and San Carlos well and that other County residents can benefit from the best practices of the current Redwood City/San Carlos program.
Thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey below.
