"Are You Ready?" is a great lead-in to our Community Emergency Response TEAM (CERT) training program. After completing Redwood City's "Are You Ready?" class, you and/or your group may be interested in our CERT training. This 20 hour course is held over several weeks and will engage you with in-depth coverage of topics including disaster preparedness, light search and rescue, disaster medicine, fire suppression, communications and the incident command system. The CERT Academy is also free!

The success of Redwood City’s Community Emergency Response Team and overall community preparedness program depends on you - your neighborhood and community will need your help in the event of disaster!  We urge you to become a part of our community-based disaster response team, and to encourage your friends and neighbors to become involved in the "Are You Ready?" and CERT programs.
