Seed Library
Redwood City Public Library is pleased to offer a variety of free seeds to the public through the Seed Library.
The Seed Library is sponsored by the The Friends of the Redwood City Public Library, with additional seed donations from OSH Redwood City, Wegman's Nursery, UCCE Master Gardeners of San Mateo and San Francisco, Incredible Edible Mid-Peninsula, Redwood City Seed Company, and local gardeners.
How It Works
-
TAKE SEEDS: Visit our Seed Library cabinet in the Home & Garden section of the Downtown Library's Main Reading Room to view our current seed offering. At the Redwood Shores Branch Library and Schaberg Branch Library, ask for the Seed Library at the front Customer Assistance Desk.
-
SHARE SEEDS: We welcome seed donations! At this time we are only able to accept commercial seed packets (open or unopened). Please contact fpotter@redwoodcity.org to learn more.
-
VOLUNTEER: Volunteers help us pack seeds, maintain our cabinet, and organize educational events. Please contact fpotter@redwoodcity.org to learn more.
