How does Hoopla work?

  • You must have a valid Redwood City Public Library Card (starting with '29045').
  • Create a new account by entering an email address, password and your library card number.
  • You can check out 5 items per month, account resets at the beginning of the month. Checkout hoopla the last week of the month for "bonus borrows"- a special collection of items available for free.
  • Loan periods
    • Movies & TV Shows lend for 3 days
    • Music lends for 7 days
    • eAudiobooks, eBooks, and Comics lend for 21 days
  • No late fees.
