The 2019 Library Takeover application process has closed.

Do you have an idea for an event or activity you’d like to see at your Redwood City Public Library?

Are you interested in helping us celebrate the diversity of our community?

If so, come and take over your library!

Library Takeover will provide small one-time grants of up to $1,000 to groups of people in the Redwood City and North Fair Oaks communities who have an idea for a Library program or event that will help us reach and connect with people in the community who don't currently use the Library. Teams selected for the grants will receive help from Library staff in the development and delivery of their library programs. The goal of Library Takeover is to create more Library activities that help everyone in our community see the Library as a welcoming place and a valuable resource.

Whether you have a specific event idea or not, join us to learn more about what’s happening at the library and to connect with others. Your library already provides many activities for learning together, but we’re looking for fresh ideas to help everyone in Redwood City and North Fair Oaks feel welcome and included in the Library. Library Takeover is sponsored by the SAGA Foundation and the Friends of the Redwood City Public Library.
