Get Creative

  • Make a Time Capsule and document what's happening in the world right now.  

  • Sidewalk Chalk Challenge! Draw on your driveway or sidewalk outside your home and create art for neighbors see (while still respecting the rules around social distancing). Don't forget to take a photo and share with us online on instagram @rwcparks! #rwcchalkchallenge

  • Put art in your windows for the everyone to enjoy!

  • Karaoke! Did you know that you can search YouTube for Karaoke tracks? Amplify your device to a bluetooth speaker or cast to your TV for the full effect. But in our experience, it works just fine from your mobile device. 

  • Make a family Tik Tok video and make your friends smile! We may be creating a Tik Tok Challenge, so stay tuned! Not sure what Tik Tok is? Ask your tween or teen, they'll tell you. They may cringe when you ask to be in a video, but c'mon, it's family time!

Things to Do

  • Get your taxes done. Even though they have been extended, why not get a jump start!

  • Do Karaoke! Did you know you can search Karaoke Songs on YouTube? Play from your mobile device or sing with the family from the T.V.!

  • Free Access to WiFi & Broadband from Spectrum: Spectrum will be offering FREE broadband and WiFi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum subscription. If you or someone you know can benefit from this service please call 1-844-488-8395. 

  • Video Calls- There are many ways to connect via video calls to friends and family. Did you know that most of your messaging apps now have video options? You would typically see a video camera icon in the upper corner of the app. Here are several ways to keep in touch below.

    • Zoom (Free for the first 40 minutes)

    • Google Hangouts (Google account needed, App & Desktop, multi-platform)

    • Facetime (Apple users only)

    • Facebook Messanger

    • Instagram Direct Messages

    • Discord- popular with gamers. Must be 13 & up.

    • Marco Polo

    • House Party (App) Good for kids or adults. Some pre-loaded games like Headbandz are available. 

  • Set up a happy hour, say hello to grandparents/grandkids, make a play date for your kids all on video chat!

  • Pick a new person each day you have not connected within a while, and reach out to them.
