Join us for a reception hosted by Redwood City International, followed by a Panel Discussion with artist Emilia Kabakov, landscape architect Noemie La Faurie, artist John Roloff, and art curator Lance Fung about Artlantic. Artlantic was a temporary art park in Atlantic City that was the original home of the Kabakov Pirate Ship that is coming to the Redwood Shores Branch Library!

Meet world-famous artist Emilia Kabakov, co-creator of the Pirate Ship that will be installed outside Redwood Shores Branch Library in the coming year, as well as Noemie La Faurie, world-renowned landscape architect! Hear a storyteller share the legend of the Pirate Ship. Create art that may be used for shade sails as part of the Pirate Ship play area, as well as for the publication of the story of the Pirate Ship.


WORKSHOPS

Join us to learn more and provide input!

Supported by the Library Board and the Parks Recreation and Community Services Commission, the City will be launching public workshops in April to further the plan for this project. Attend one of these meetings to provide your input.

  • Wednesday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 21 at 2:30 p.m. 

All meetings take place in the Community Room of the Redwood Shores Library.
