Redwood City Parks, Recreation & Community Services is here for you.

We are used to being a department that brings people together. Nothing pains us more than to restrict human contact, but for the greater good and the health and safety of our community, we've had to pivot.

While our Emergency Operation Center (EOC) is open and in full swing taking care of essential services and providing help to our communities' growing needs, our other job at this time is to take care of our residents' mental and physical health. We want you to keep learning, keep up your fitness routine, keep socializing (virtually), keep entertaining those kids, keep enjoying the outdoors (within reason), and well, just keep busy.

First and foremost, the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is here to help provide food distribution for those most in need, senior to-go/delivery lunches, homeless care, safety net services, information and referral services, and more, during this crisis.  See below for the specific sections that provide detailed information.

You will then see that we have pulled together a growing list of learning and wellness resources to help you and your family through this challenging time. Here you will find links to all sorts of opportunities to stay engaged and active. This list is still growing, and please let us know if there is something we've missed!
